Same device, different model. Is this a corvette? Item was quickly put in transit the day I ordered, and the next business day it arrived. Pleased with the packaging of the item by GENUINE-HARDWARE. However I have to take a star off since they actually sent me a Cisco Aironet "LAP-1142N" and tried to pass it off as an "AP-1142N." Big difference between the 2 since the former requires a separate wireless LAN controller in order to manage the "LAP-1142N." I found this out after performing a factory wipe on the device when I received it. Upon which it booted into the C-1140-RCK9-W8 firmware. So this was a clear indication that all they did was flashed the autonomous image over the full lightweight image.Similar analogy would be if you had the intention to buy a corvette, and paid for a corvette. However the seller sent you a camaro with a corvette engine inside. At this point should the vehicle be considered as a corvette? 4

This is actually an LAP1142 AP. Beware. I got aN LAP 1142 with a sticker on it that said AP1142N-A-K9. Basically, they mustve converted it to Standalone before shipping (I assume). I have no way to tell since I instinctively factory resetted it upon arrival, hence defaulting into the LAP firmware. Bummer!I was able to convert it to Standalone, but still remain curious as to which version I originally got. Just be careful if you intend to factory reset. You might need the Standalone firmware file. 3
