Worked right out of the box, but it is for Cisco products only I wish the "RW RoutersWholesale USB 2.0 Console Cable Compatible/Replacement for Cisco A-Male to Mini-B Cord" worked with other usb mini-b serial devices. Such as Dell / Brocade SAN switches. But it does not. 4

Works for my Cisco Gear In my line of work I manage dozens of Cisco switches and routers from time to time.I unfortunately usually have to carry an RS-232 converter and my cisco "baby blue" cable. This is a replacement for both! Now I can use the built in USB console port on newer cisco devices and get rid of the old daisy chained cable.I found the P&P driver to work just fine and did not need to get searching for a driver set or a cisco official driver to make it work. 5
