Good unit overall. Ports are exactly what we needed and first boot went fine, just took longer than I expected to get everything updated. Once done, no issues in normal use.

BiDi is a lifesaver when you're out of fiber pairs. Using these in a campus backbone—got 100G over a single strand of OM4. 100m reach is accurate. Runs a bit warm but that's normal for BiDi. Cisco tax is real but worth it for the convenience.

Installed it in an ISR 4000 and it came up right away. Setup was pretty easy, just needed a reload and the interfaces showed as expected. Been using one copper uplink and one SFP port daily for about three weeks, no weird drops so far. Build quality feels solid like most Cisco gear.

Standard GLC-LH-SMD won't survive in some places. These RGD versions will. Used them in oil field gear—no failures in two years. DOM still works, range is solid. Cisco rugged optics are no joke.

Lifesaver when you need 10G over existing copper. 30-meter limit is honest—tested it at 28 meters with clean signal. Uses more power than fiber optics but sometimes you don't have a choice. Cisco quality.

Rock-solid SX optics. The D version has DOM, which is actually useful for checking fiber health. No compatibility headaches, no weird errors. If you need 1G multimode, this is the go-to.

These NIM-ES2-8s are handy for consolidating gear. No need for a separate switch—just plug this into your router. VLANs, STP, basic switching all work. Runs cool, no fan noise. Great for small branches.
