The DELL S3048 Networking S3048-ON is a switch with 48 1GbE and 4 SFP+ 10GbE ports, designed for network management and stackability. It fits in a 1U rack-mountable enclosure and supports gigabit Ethernet. The switch features a switching fabric bandwidth of 260 Gbps and a forwarding performance of 131 Mpps, with a latency of 3.7 for 1000BASE-T and 1.8 for SFP+.

  • Allows 16 links per group and 128 groups per stack
  • Features 8 queues per port and supports 4000 VLANs
  • Supports 64 MSTP instances and 64 VRF-lite instances
  • Supports 40000 IPv4 hosts and 8000 IPv6 hosts
  • Holds up to 8000 multicast entries for IPv4

Offers routing through VRRP, OSPFv2, IGMPv3, and MSDP. Remote management is available via SNMP and RMON protocols. Additional features include flow control, various spanning tree protocols, LACP, LLDP, SNMP trap, and GVRP.
