Q
We have an 8 port CWDM passive MUX and are using 5 wavelengths, is it possible to use this in the 1310 wavelength port on our passive CWDM MUX without affecting the other wavelengths?
A
Thanks for your inquiry, regular 1310 wavelength transmission needs to use multiplexer with 1310 special port.
If the 1310 channel of your 8-port CWDM passive multiplexer is a CWDM wavelength channel, it cannot be used with it;
If the 1310 channel of your 8-port CWDM passive multiplexer is a special port, that is, the channel bandwidth is 1310+-50nm, then it can be used with this without affecting the transmission of other channels.
