MikroTik 6-speed RJ-45 module for up to 10 Gbps

S-RJ10

MikroTik 6-speed RJ-45 module for up to 10 Gbps 5 29

Works great! Replaced another SFP that did not perform at full speeds

I replaced another SFP ordered on Amazon that did not perform at full speeds with this one, and it works perfect! Very good speeds and overall good quality.

Worked perfectly UDM PRO & ATT

Had purchased another SFP for cheaper but it had connectivity issues. And didn't properly negotiate the 5gb speed out of the AT&T gateway. This one worked perfectly as soon as I plugged it in and properly negotiated speeds. Would definitely recommend!

Finally a fully compliant 802.3 bz SFP adapter that works with Unifi Dream Machine Pro

I tried Wiitek, 10Gtek Hi!Fiber (for Ubiquiti), and QSFPTEK SFP modules to get my 2gig fiber to work properly, and either it won't auto negotiate (QSFPTEK) or it does, and download is fast, but upload is under 100mb -- as in < 5% of rated throughput of my connection. This module works correctly. My downloads and upload speeds are now actually closer 2.3gb, symmetric. Also no issue with hotplugging, the most recent version works fine, no need to restart the UDMP. Also the temperature is not a problem either, put a piece of black paper tape over it and measured with an IR camera (reflective metal doesn't show up on IR otherwise) and it registers at 41c, runs actually cooler than the QSFPTEK module I was using before at 1GB. If you're having the issue of fast downloads and slow uploads with SFP modules on the UDMP, this resolves that.

Worked as expected

The device works as expected. Runs very hot at times.

works properly

Does not appear to have the performance/buffering issues see with other transceivers. Did iperf tests with a 10G host and a 2.5G client and a Mikrotik CRS305 switch. Gave 2+G performance in both directions. Speed reported correctly by the switch as 2.5G. Tried on a QSW-2108-2C, link speed reported incorrectly as 10G but iperf tests gave 2+G in both directions so appears to function correctly even in a non-Mikrotik switch. Much cheaper than the AQS-107. My network does not use jumbo frames so I'm not planning to test that.Seems like a solid budget option that fixes the flow control/buffer overrun issue that's been discussed for NBASE-T transceivers.

fantastic module

So happy this module exists -- it's been incredibly difficult to get thunderbolt aqc100 (10gbaset) devices, but very easy to get ahold of aqc107 (sfp+) ones. this sfp module has been a drop in for ~20 of our mobile stations in a post-production environment where half our building is stuck at 5g -- i've been one happy netadmin not having to touch these since installation.we have ui 10g native rj45 modules on our router, and by comparison the s+rj10 does run *very* hot -- so I can not speak to every use case and device you may be dropping these into.

MikroTik 6-speed RJ-45 module for up to 10 Gbps 5 29

Works with UDM Pro

Tried multiple different brands in the LAN SFP+ port of my UDM Pro. Every other SFP would limit the speed to around 600Mbps. This was connected to a 2.5Gbe NIC with Cat8 cables. The MicroTik is more expensive, but it was the only one that worked and allowed multi gigabit speeds. Highly recommended.

UMD Pro + S+RJ10 = <3

I was having issues with the SFP+ WAN Port on my UDM Pro. My Arris SB33 has a 2.5GbE port to the router, however, any SFP+ RJ45 I had would negotiate at 1GbE, even though they were 10GbE modules. This one actually auto negotiates at 10GbE according to the UDM Pro, and I am able to his the fully over-provisioned cap of my gigabit connection from my ISP, my latest test was 1228 down 42 up (should be 940 down if at 1GbE). I am very pleased.

Works with Ubiquity UniFi switches and UDM Pro for <10GbE links

For 1, 2.5, and 5 GbE links on UniFi switches or the UDM Pro, this seems to be the only copper ethernet SFP+ transceiver that will get you close to the expected speeds for both Tx and Rx. It also works at 10GbE like you'd expect.

No jumbo MTU, 1500 ONLY

Works perfectly at 10G with the default 1500 MTU. Doesn't support any form of jumbo frames.
